The mission of Andy's Safe Haven is to move dogs who are scheduled to die in high-kill shelters to the safety of a temporary refuge. Getting them out of harm's way buys them time for rescue, foster or adoption arrangements to be made.

The Sanctuary's Mission is to provide a Helping Hand for senior pets. For our residents, we provide love, affection, and shelter. Many receive medical care, such as diagnostic screenings, dental care, surgery, and medications.For other senior dogs, we provide a Helping Hand by getting the word out about their special needs, and encourage others to give them a forever home through our House with a Heart Sanctuary of Your Own program.

The AWLMC seeks to enhance the lives of Montgomery County, MD residents and animals through educational programs, pet adoption and animal shelter programs, and low cost spay and neuter services. The AWLMC operates a no-kill cat adoption shelter in Montgomery County, MD. Since 2005 we have completed over 1,200 cat adoptions. The AWLMC provides low-cost spay/neuter services for dogscats. The Chompers Pet Food Bank began in December 2010provides pet food to dog and cat owners who are facing economic hardship.

MCPAW's primary mission is to benefit the animals residing at the MCASAC. Its broader mission includes working to prevent animals from ending up in shelters and promoting positive relationships between people and animals. MCPAW is a vital community resource helping to educate, advocate and take action on the healthy treatment and well-being of animals at the MCASAC and throughout Montgomery County.

Petey and Furends is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit no-kill animal rescue organization that is dedicated to reducing instances of neglect, abuse, and homelessness in companion animals. To do this, we use research- and evidence-based practices to facilitate a matchmaking experience that will increase the rate of successful adoptions. All members of Petey and Furends are volunteers who dedicate their time and compassion to the animals.

FCAR is a small, 501(c)(3) in MD dedicated to saving dogs from high-kill shelters & unhealthy situations. We promote positive methods of training and behavior modification because they are effective, build trust and, unlike harsher, compulsion methods, cannot cause pain, aggression or fear in dogs. We also encourage early socialization and training for puppies to reduce the chance of behavior issues later.

Tasca_s Love Cooperative is a 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue. We rescue dogs left homeless in low-resource shelters, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, those in danger of abuse or neglect, or special medical needs as our resources allow. We rely 100% on foster families to take on the dogs in need, and rely solely on donations and fundraising to care for our dogs.
