Wounded Paw Project_ focuses on the prevention of animal abuse and the rehabilitation of abused and rescued dogs

Bowie Citizens for Local Animal Welfare advocates for the welfare of animals in the Greater Bowie area. We support the the City of Bowie's short-term animal holding facility by donating supplies and offering volunteer assistance and advocating for animal welfare before local governments. Support of Prince George's County Animal Services by providing supplies; supporting their volunteer program and foster program. Promoting our Pet Food Pantry. Supporting community cats within the area through an active TNR program. Helping with the placement of homeless pets and the return of lost pets.

Marlee's Misfits' focus is on care for seniors, cats with special needs, and medical emergencies. We provide housing and care for cats from high-risk shelters, owner surrenders, and overcrowded cat rescues.
We provide behavioral and medical support for cats deemed _less adoptable_ due to age, illness, or injury.

Three Little Bears is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing senior and other overlooked dogs, providing comprehensive care, and finding loving forever homes for them.

Tip Me Frederick is the area's only non-profit Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) cat resource for Frederick, MD and the surrounding region. Our mission is to secure low-cost veterinary services for stray, feral, and farm cats and their caretakers, and to help people live in harmony with these cats in their communities.

We are proud to be the only cat-exclusive orphanage in Alexandria, Va. Our primary purpose is to educate and assist the community in regard to cat welfare, and to provide loving homes for the cats and kittens in our care. We accomplish this through outreach to the local community by providing information on proper cat care, behavioral problems and medical issues involving cats.

Operation Git-Meow helps the feral cat population at the US Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and in the Washington, DC area.At Guantanamo, we work with the Naval Station to provide microchips and vaccinations for the feral/community cats, and foster and adopt out cats and kittens to base residents.We transport some adoptable cats and kittens to the DC area for adoption to bring awareness to the conditions at Guantanamo.We assist residents with the cost of bringing their pets back to the USA.Our ultimate goal is to secure an exception to Navy policy to provide free trap/neuter/vaccinate/release clinics at Guantanamo, funded by SPCA International as an alternative to the current policy to cull the population through euthanasia and by shooting the feral cats.

The Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Inc. (MAGDRL) was organized in 1979 to serve the seven states of the Mid-Atlantic region. MAGDRL is staffed completely by volunteers. Like all humane groups, MAGDRL is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and mixed Danes and the people are those who want the companionship of the breed, or often, just dogs in general.

Cat Rescue of Maryland, Inc. (CROM) is an all-volunteer non-profit organization founded in 1993 in Baltimore, Maryland. CROM's mission is the humane management (rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of tame cats/kittens and vetting/continued feeding of the unadoptables) of feral cat colonies in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, and Harford County in the state of Maryland.

The SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County, Inc. (PGSPCA) is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to animal welfare. Our objectives are: To reduce pet overpopulation through our progressive spay/neuter program; To prevent animal cruelty, neglect, and suffering through our investigations, legal action, affordable vaccinations, and an active dog and cat adoption program; humane education.

Located in Northern Virginia, Friends of Homeless Animals has been serving the Washington metropolitan area since 1972. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill shelter dedicated to saving abandoned and abused dogs and cats. We provide rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, and adoption services in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metropolitan areas.

After successfully repealing a 30-year pitbull ban in Prince George's County, MD, our mission is to guide the safe, responsible integration of the banned dogs back into our community, support, improve, and encourage enforcement of responsible ownership laws, increase the joys of responsible human-dog relationships, and keep people and pets together in loving homes.

Helping Owners of Pets Through Education (HOPE) is a non-profit organization in the DC metro area whose mission is to keep pets in their forever homes by helping pet owners overcome common behavioral and financial challenges to pet ownership through affordable training and education.

Caring Hearts Rescue is a non-profit all-volunteer organization dedicated to finding forever homes for homeless, abandoned, and surrendered dogs, including those deemed to be hard-to-adopt or unadoptable due to age, health, disability, or temperament. We work closely with local veterinarians to address the physical and dental health needs of our dogs so they are as healthy as possible before adoption.

Tucker WRLD Animal Sanctuary was founded with a heartfelt purpose: to provide a safe haven for dogs abandoned in high-kill shelters. Our journey began in memory of Tucker, my childhood soul dog, and is dedicated to honoring my father, whose spirit guides us in this mission. Every dog we rescue has its own story, and it is our privilege to give them unconditional love and a shot at life.

The mission of February Star Sanctuary rescues rehabilitates and provides a permanent refuge cats in need. We help the community though outreach programs to help children develop compassion for animals at a early age. Teaching our children to respect and protect even the smallest among us is one of the most important life lessons we can pass on. Our goal with this sanctuary is to give the unwanted a home and to teach children compassion. Building a generation of animal advocates, one child at a time.

OBG originated in Northern Virginia in 1996 out of a concern for the number of homeless senior dogs in the area with virtually no options for being rescued. We now annually rescue and place about 300 cockers and cocker mixes of all ages in neighboring states and along the Eastern seaboard.

Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. rescues dogs of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters reducing the numbers being euthanized daily.WE provide foster homes where they can get the love and attention needed before finding their forever homes.Our organization provides pet adoption services in Virginia, Washington, DC, Maryland and part of Southern Pennsylvania.Operation Paws for Homes, a 503(c)3 organization, is 100% donor funded and could not save these dogs and fulfill their dreams of being united with their forever families without the dedication of our incredible adopters, fosters, donors and volunteers.Sadly, without your help, all of these adoptable animals would face almost certain euthanasia; usually within days or hours of arriving at the shelter.Each year we take in hundreds of wonderful animals who were left at shelters by no fault of their own.

The Feline Rescue Association is a 501(c)(3) rescue organization operating out of foster homes in the Baltimore area. We work with stray, abandoned and feral cats through rescue, adoption, and spay/neuter. Founded June 2007, the Feline Rescue Association works with street cats in some of the worst neighborhoods in Baltimore. We also pull cats who are facing euthanasia. We are dedicated to helping the abandoned cats of Baltimore, one cat at a time.
