Friends of Strays is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 in St. Petersburg, FL, dedicated to the care and adoption of homeless pets. The organization is funded by individual contributions, wills, bequests and business partner programs. Friends of Strays provides services to the most needy section of our pet population, the homeless animals of Pinellas County. These services include sterilization, medical treatment, socialization and daily care until each animal is adopted. The primary goal of Friends of Strays is to stop the reproduction of homeless cats and dogs who are abandoned and left to roam, unable to care for themselves. We are active in programs which educate the public about humane treatment and care of animals.

MEOW Now is an organization founded by concerned citizens along with two local shelters to implement an TNVR program for community cats in Pinellas County. MEOW Now provides vaccination, ear tip, and spay/neuter services to community cats and assists colony caregivers and trappers with resources and education.

Pet Pal's mission is to rescue animals from shelters that may otherwise not live due to time limitations, illness, injury or lack of socialization/training.We are a no-kill shelter that promotes responsible pet ownership.We work well with our community partners to ensure the survival of animals whose fate could be determined merely by the lack of resources.

E.A.R.S. Rescue(a 501(c)3 non profit) is not just a sheltersanctuary for animals, but for the people that love and care for them as well. We pride ourselves on the fact that our animals are all happy and well taken care of until they find their new home. As volunteers of E.A.R.S. we open our hearts and our homes to animals in need, as long as that may be.

Protecting Paws for Life is dedicated to supporting domestic violence shelters in becoming or maintaining fear-free, pet-friendly environments. We aim to prevent pets from being left behind and facing potential abuse, neglect, or even death, as well as avoid being turned over to an already overpopulated and overburdened animal shelter system.

The mission of Operation: SNIP is to reduce pet overpopulation and the resulting euthanasia of healthy dogs and cats through affordable high quality, high volume spaying and neutering and community education.

Florida Cocker Spaniel Rescue was established in 1997. FCSR serves the general community by taking in unwanted dogs and providing food, shelter, and medical care until permanent homes can be found for them. Any donations that we receive go entirely towards food, spaying and neutering, heartworm preventative, and other basic medical needs of the dogs.

Kim's Cat Crusade is committed to end cat hunger and cat overpopulation in Pinellas County by providing daily feeding, care and protection to feral, stray and abandoned cats, and by offering information and resources to help others support these goals.

Our aim is to provide support and financial assistance to animal rescues and families whose beloved animals face physical limitations due to special needs. We strive to make the world a brighter place by bringing to light the perseverance, second chances, love, and joy that radiate from our community's imperfectly perfect, specially-abled heroes.

Shiba Saviors Rescue is a 501(c)(3) home-based dog rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need. We provide individualized care, medical treatment, behavioral support, and enrichment to ensure each dog is prepared for a stable, permanent family. Our mission is to reduce euthanasia, promote responsible pet ownership, and give these misunderstood dogs a safe second chance.

The mission and purpose of the Animal Services Department is to ensure the health and safety of the people and pets in our community by encouraging responsible pet ownership through education, legislation, code compliance and providing incentives to sterilize pets.

We have the contract with Sumter County Animal Services. We are also contracted in the TNVR program for Pasco County.

A 501(c)3 Animal Rescue in Pasco County, FL, our mission is to protect and advocate for all companion animals in need. We do this through rescue, adoption and spay and neuter services. Additionally, we hope to build a humane community that promotes compassion and kindness, by controlling the overpopulation of these animals through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), community outreach services, pet food bank, and education.

Street Cat Project of Polk County is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to humanely reducing the number of free-roaming community cats in Polk County, Florida through targeted trapping for spay/neuter and educating the residents of Polk County about the benefits of TNR.

Helping people help animals.

The Division of Animal Services enforces the County's Animal Ordinance and the Florida Laws relating to animals, provides an animal adoption program, picks up and shelters stray, sick and/or injured animals, issues rabies license/certificates, investigates animal cruelty and neglect, and quarantines animals that have bitten someone. Animal Services works closely with all area shelters, many other local animal groups and animal welfare organizations.

To provide a safe and loving environment for Pasco's homeless dogs and cats. Provide temporary shelter to same while they wait adoption into loving and forever homes.
