Penny's Hospice exists to provide a loving sanctuary to animals who have been abandoned or orphaned. We focus on senior pets, who are the least likely to get adopted when they find themselves in shelters.

Polk County Bully Project was created to address a huge issue in our county. We pull dogs deemed rescue only from the Polk County Animal Control in Florida, such as Pit Bull and Heart Worm Positive. We place dogs into foster where they are adopted out or transported North to rescue partners.We also help dogs within the community to try and lower the overall intake do to owner surrender. We are trying for a No-Kill shelter in 2025.

Headquartered in Lakeland since 1979, SPCA Florida creates happy endings for orphaned animals in need, educates the public regarding responsible pet ownership and helps to control pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs. The adoption center cares for more than 6,000 animals annually and SPCA Florida's McClurg Animal Medical Center provides affordable, quality care for more than 4,500 clients each month.

We provide permanent or temporary homes for cats. If we are able to rehabilitate and train the cats we place them into their permanent and loving homes. We understand the need for partnership with local shelters and other animal rescue organizations in order to address the plight for homeless, stray and feral cats. We provide homes for feral cats and make every attempt to rehabilitate cats and place them in a loving home.

We pull mainly from High Kill shelters in areas of Florida and Georgia that need the most help.
