Timber's Legacy is a small Queens, NY based cat rescue that is staffed entirely by volunteers. We were formed for the purpose of improving the quality of life for homeless, neglected and abandoned cats through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming.We take cats that have been abandoned, friendly strays and cats that have unfortunately found themselves on the NYC ACC at risk list. Approximately 25% of our cats are special needs. All of our cats are provided with the highest quality veterinary care. As we do not have a physical shelter, all are housed in foster homes until such time as their forever home is found.

At CAMP HAPPY TAILS NYC RESCUE we work tirelessly to provide a safe haven for rescued puppies and adult dogs, some requiring extra love, healing and care.We ensure every Camper gets what he/she needs to live their best life every day, unconditionally, until a just right forever home is found. To date, CAMP has fostered over 240 dogs - from bottle feeding puppies to dogs that have been severely abused or injured and require intense healing. Through love, compassion and caring, CAMP HAPPY TAILS NYC RESCUE creates a safe, clean sanctuary for rescued dogs and pups to heal and grow physically, mentally and emotionally, where they are properly cared for and socialized. All this is in preparation for adoption.

In 2007, BBAWC created a cooperative to provide individual animal rescuers with medical, foster and adoptive support such as was found only in traditional shelters. In 2016, we created our community adoption space, Brooklyn Cat Cafe, one of the only cat cafes in the country operated as a non-profit, rescue organization.
