League of Extraordinary Mutts (LOEM) is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer dog rescue organization serving the Los Angeles metro area. We are focused on rescuing dogs that are considered to be part of a vulnerable population within the shelter system. For example, pregnant, senior, special needs and breeds that are more likely to be euthanized first. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for whatever reason - dogs in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.

The mission of Animals in Need Rescue Network is to provide a valuable service to the community by helping pets stay out of shelters and in forever homes. We want to keep pets from being euthanized with the ultimate goal of facilitating the process of making Los Angeles a No Kill City.

CatCafe Lounge is the first nonprofit Cat Cafe in Los Angeles! Our goal is to offer a relaxing space to increase adoptionsreduce euthanizations.

Our mission is to find loving, lifetime homes for all Southern California Golden Retrievers in need, regardless of conditions or circumstances. We will always strive to heal the sick and injured, rehabilitate the neglected and abused, and nurture the aged and unwanted until we find the perfect family who will shower them with unconditional love.

Hounds and Heroes, founded by Bonnie-Jill Laflin, Sports Broadcaster, and the only femal scout in the NBOS for the Los Angeles Lakes, is a national nonprofit dedicated to lifting the spirits and morale of our active, wounded, and veteran military troops worldwide, and to increase community awareness, education and, involvement about the cruelty to animals and necessary care for animals through rescue, foster and adoption.

Star Paws Rescue was founded by renowned film and television casting director Victoria Burrows in response to the overwhelming need to care for abandoned, abused and injured dogs in the city of Los Angeles.

Forte Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization, seeking solutions for pet-overpopulation, as well as working together with the community to cultivate the human-animal bond through educational programs and activities. We inspire compassion and responsibility for animals, in addition to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding homes for companion animals.

Every year millions of unwanted companion animals are euthanized across the United States. Animal Wellness Foundation (AWF) rescues homeless animals from the streets and high-kill shelters and places them into loving permanent homes. We also assists low income families with veterinary expenses as a way to keep companion animals with their families and out of the shelters.

We are a dog rescue group in Los Angeles. We help homeless dogs in need, whether they are waiting for a home in the shelter, a stray on the streets, or belonging to a homeless person who can not afford medical care.

The Riverside County Department of Animal Services shelters more than 35,000 animals annually across four locations, making it one of the largest sheltering systems in the country. RCDAS provides adoption, lost pet reunification, pet support services, and public safety programs, all aimed at keeping pets with families and increasing animal lifesaving.

We rescue, rehabilitiate and rehome abandon dogs. We specialize in rescuing Miniature Schnauzers but rescue other breeds as well. We provide these dogs a second chance to have a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through rescue and education.

A Cat's Tale is a small but yet very produtive rescue group. We rescue, spay/neuter, TNR, adoptions and educate the importance of spaying and neutering as well as educating on how a pet is non-disposable, its a family member that you must take care of and love.

Caring Songs Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue that seeks to provide a good life for cats, dogs, and all creatures. Any breed, whether purebred or mixed breed, is accepted. We seek to help those animals whose chances of being adopted are slim. By caring for them and nurturing them, we help bring the beauty that is inside visible to the external eye.

The Peter Zippi Fund ("PZF") provides care and placement for homeless cats and kittens, with a special focus on those abandoned, injured or abused. PZF provides financial, volunteer, and equipment support toward spay and neuter, to low income community members for companion animals of all species, and to any person performing responsible trap-neuter-return for feral or stray cats.

FurryTails Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue group founded by Jennicka Andersson and Carole Ly Sing Lao in June 2012 with the mission to save animals from being killed in Los Angeles shelters. We are committed to educate about the importance of Spaying/Neutering animals as well as Adopting animals from shelters vs. breeders or stores.

We assist evidence animals living in city and county animal shelters by placing them with their forever families. We accomplish this by providing adoption and foster services, shelter support services and creating community awareness of these animals. Our primary goal is to get all evidence dogs and cats out of the shelter environment and placed in a loving, responsible permanent or foster home.

Our mission is to substantially reduce pet homelessness and animal shelter intake by providing high-quality, low-cost spay/neuter services to undeserved communities in LA County. By providing these services in targeted areas and promoting the message of saving lives through sterilization, we can reach the goal of reducing shelter intake and eliminating euthanasia of healthy animals.

Here at Guardians of the Wolves, we envision a world in which wolves and wolfdogs are afforded the right to survival and protection; and a community that treats these animals humanely, with respect and kindness.

In order to achieve that vision, we are focusing on three key areas:
Education, Advocacy and Rescue

Education

You cannot preserve a legacy without first changing the misconceptions that many have about wolves. They have long been portrayed as villains in the wild and with our Ambassador program we hope to change their image, give people a chance to get to know the real wolf, and highlight the ecological importance these animals have in their natural habitat.

Advocacy

Wolves cannot speak for themselves and it is our job to stand up and speak for them. We are all stewards to the environment, responsible for the use and protection of the land and the animals who dwell on it. Wolves play an important role in the ecological balance of the environment and we speak on their behalf to ensure they have the place nature intended for them.

Rescue

Unfortunately, there are times when captive-bred wolves and wolfdogs find themselves in a situation where they need help. Often times people are unaware of the challenges of keeping these animals and they end up being passed from home to home, end up in a shelter, or abandoned. We make a difference by networking with rescues and sanctuaries all over the world to place these animals somewhere safe.

Rover Rescue is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 to save as many homeless dogs as we can and place them in permanent and loving homes. We also run a very successful Spay/Neuter voucher program for low income residents of LA County.

The mission of the Old English Sheepdog Rescue is to place healthy but unwanted purebred Old English Sheepdogs in loving homes. Over 1700 Old English Sheepdogs have been helped by our rescue program since 1989. The Olde English Sheepdog Rescue of Southern California's area of rescue includes Fresno to the North, the California state border to the East, the Pacific Ocean to the West and San Diego to the South.

Since 1992, CARE has rescued at-risk dogs and cats without regard to their health status, behavior or adopt- ability, providing them needed medical care and spay/neuter services. We carefully seek new, loving homes for all pets in our custody and provide quality lifetime care for those who are not adopted.
