*Nala is temporarily living in a foster home until they find their family. If you would like to meet Nala, we recommend scheduling an appointment with one of our Adoptions Specialists, so we can ensure they are here to meet you when you arrive. Please click “Adopt Nala” to complete an interest survey and one of our Adoptions Specialists will connect with you to set up an appointment!* Graceful, gentle, and full of quiet charm — that’s Nala. This lovely senior lady is ready to find a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years in peace. This girl loves nothing more than being by, with, or right on top of her favorite humans! She adores pets, especially on her tummy! Nala arrived at Best Friends already front-paw declawed, so she’ll need to remain an indoor-only kitty for her comfort and safety but she does love a good walk in the stroller! She’s not one for hustle and bustle — instead, she prefers a cozy spot to curl up, gentle pets, and quiet companionship. Nala likes to chirp and trill to let her people know exactly how she's feeling with the sweetest little noises. If you’re searching for a calm, steady friend who will bring serenity to your home and love you unconditionally, Nala might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to spend her days lounging in her cat tree, purring softly, and reminding you of the beauty in slowing down and savoring each moment. Visit the Best Friends Lifesaving Center in Salt Lake City or email utahadoptions@bestfriends.org to meet Nala.

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
