In fact, having feline friends around helps him feel more confident and comfortable in new situations. He may be a bit shy at first, but with patience, a gentle touch, and the reassurance of his kitty companions, Cortado blossoms into a loyal friend. Though sensitive by nature, Cortado is deeply affectionate in his quiet way. With the right person — and a few cat friends to keep him company — he’ll form a bond that’s as sweet and special as he is. Cortado is a sensitive soul who enjoys a quiet, calm environment. He may take a little time to warm up to new faces, but once he feels comfortable, he’s all about cuddles, gentle headbutts, and sweet purring. His soft, fluffy fur is perfect for snuggling, and he loves to curl up next to you once he feels safe and loved. Though he’s a bit on the shy side, Cortado is deeply affectionate in his own quiet way. With the right person, he’ll bond in a way that only a cat like him can, and his trust is truly something special. He enjoys his peaceful moments, but don’t be surprised if you catch him showing a playful side once he feels at ease. Email us at utahadoption@bestfriends.org to arrange a meeting with him!

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
