If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a house hippo, Hattie is here to make that dream come true. This chunky queen is built for comfort, comedy, and couch time — and she fully embraces all three. Hattie has a BIG personality packed into her delightfully squishy frame. She’s a talker, and she’s got opinions! Whether she’s giving you her signature grumbles, little woofs, or dramatic sighs, she always has something to say. Honestly, conversations with Hattie are way more interesting anyway. Don’t let her goofy energy fool you — this girl is also a professional napper. A cozy couch, a soft bed, or a sunny patch of floor? She’s out like a light. She lives for a good snooze and would love a home that appreciates the fine art of relaxing together. Hattie is equal parts silly, sweet, and snuggly. She’ll make you laugh daily with her antics, then waddle over for love like the affectionate, lovable goof she is. If your home is missing a chunky cuddle buddy with endless personality and hilarious commentary, Hattie is ready to move in and run the place (from the couch, of course). About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
