Brighton is a dashing tuxedo gentleman with a playful spirit and a gentle heart. With his dramatic white whiskers, eyebrows, ears, and toes set against his sleek black coat, he looks like he’s always dressed for a special occasion. But behind the formal attire is a fun-loving cat who can’t resist a good game. Playtime is one of Brighton’s favorite parts of the day. He’ll happily chase any kind of ball toy—jingle, crinkle, or anything that rolls! He also loves zooming through his cat tunnel and showing off his acrobatic side when you bring out a wand toy. Spin, jump, pounce—Brighton turns play sessions into a full performance. When it’s time for a snack, he’s equally happy with crunchy treats or lickable ones. Brighton enjoys affection and companionship, but he appreciates having the freedom to approach on his own terms. You’ll often find him sitting right beside your legs, keeping you company, or occasionally curling up in your lap. He loves being petted and brushed, and once he’s comfortable, he’ll seek you out right away for attention and play. Because Brighton can be a little sensitive to loud or unusual noises, he benefits from a calm home and time to settle in. Providing cozy hiding spots helps him feel safe and in control of his new space. As he adjusts, he’ll begin exploring, playing, and asking for affection at his own pace. Brighton isn’t much of a talker, but he makes up for it with a constant, happy purr whenever you’re around. With patience and kindness, this playful and affectionate tuxedo boy will soon become a devoted companion. Give Brighton the time he needs to feel at home, and he’ll reward you with friendship, playfulness, and lots of purring. About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
