Meet Remy, a senior male Lhasa Apso mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. This sweetest little guy is all about life’s simple joys — snuggling on the couch, meeting new people, cruising around in a backpack carrier, and happily accepting treats from his admirers. Remy loves people and thrives on companionship. He has done well with other dogs and would likely be just fine sharing his home with a respectful cat. Wherever his humans are is exactly where he wants to be. His fabulous signature bangs hide a special secret: Remy has no eyes. But don’t let that fool you — he navigates the world impressively well. He may need a little guidance at first while learning a new space and some help with things like stairs or getting onto couches, but once he maps out his surroundings, he settles in quickly and moves around with confidence. This resilient little gentleman is looking for a loving home that will appreciate his sweet nature, support his needs, and share plenty of cozy moments together. If you’re ready for a devoted companion who proves every day that love sees beyond everything, Remy would love to meet you. Visit the Best Friends Lifesaving Center in Salt Lake City or TEXT (385) 405-5145 to meet them.

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
