Join us on October 19 in Salt Lake City for Strut Your Mutt, an annual fundraising walk and festival to save the lives of homeless pets.

There’s no place like home — and that’s true for pets in shelters, too. In fact, a dog or cat is killed in America’s shelters every 90 seconds just because they don’t have a safe place to call home.

When you participate in Strut Your Mutt, the money you raise, including your registration fee, goes directly to the animals of Best Friends or your favorite local participating animal welfare organization.

Why do we strut?

We strut to raise money to save the lives of the dogs and cats who need it most.

Every day, more than 1,000 dogs and cats are killed in shelters simply because they don’t have safe places to call home. But together, we can bring our best friends home and Save Them All.

When you choose to participate in Strut Your Mutt, you can support and raise funds for Best Friends or your favorite participating animal welfare organization. Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping homeless pets.

Participants in the 2023 Strut Your Mutt in Salt Lake City raised $55,164.

Network partners are raising money for their organizations

Network partner organizations participate in Strut Your Mutt to raise the crucial funds needed to save lives of more pets in their care.

We're saving lives across the country by working with Best Friends Network Partners — more than 5,000 shelters, rescue groups, and other animal welfare organizations in all 50 states, including here in Utah

This year, many of these organizations from around Salt Lake City will participate in Strut Your Mutt to raise money and save the lives of animals in their care.

You can show your support for one of these participating shelters or rescue groups when you make a one-time donation:
