The state-of-the-art Best Friends Animal Clinic

Best Friends Animal Clinic is much more than an innovative veterinary clinic that provides top-notch care for our Sanctuary animals. It's a place where every animal gets comfort and healing, no matter the medical problem or special need.

What makes the clinic so special?

Thanks to many compassionate donors and members, our new clinic was opened in 2014. It was designed with one goal in mind: to help the animals at the Sanctuary.

Artfully constructed inside and out, the clinic has state-of-the-art features that allow veterinarians and technicians to treat the hundreds of animals and it's designed to make every animal who arrives feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Some those features include the following:

  • Treatment area with long-term patient areas and open bays for large dogs
  • Separate X-ray and dental suites
  • Separate areas for dogs and cats to reduce stress

Spay/Neuter

Spaying or neutering is one of the best gifts you can give your pet, your family, and the community. These routine procedures help prevent medical and behavioral issues, reduce the number of pets entering shelters, and eliminate unwanted litters, freeing up loving homes for other animals.

To schedule a surgery for your pet, please call our clinic at 435-275-2495. Just listen to the prompts and select the appropriate option for spay/neuter services. Appointments are required.

  • Female Dog (spay): $50
  • Male Dog (neuter): $35
  • Female Cat (spay): $25
  • Male Cat (neuter): $25

Health Benefits

Spaying females eliminates the risk of ovarian and uterine cancers and significantly reduces the chance of mammary cancer. Neutering males prevents testicular cancer and lowers the risk of prostate problems.

Behavioral Benefits

Neutering reduces unwanted behaviors like mounting, howling, spraying urine, and the urge to roam. Spaying eliminates the messy "heat" cycle in females without affecting your pet’s playful personality.

By choosing to spay or neuter your pet, you’re helping them live a longer, healthier life.
