It’s graduation time, and we're celebrating the class of 2017 by giving extra credit to help senior dogs and cats at the Sanctuary “graduate” into homes.

Senior pets are older and wiser than their fellow underclassmen. And though they may be a bit gray around the muzzle, they’ve got a lot of love to give and would like nothing more than to go home this spring.

That’s why throughout the month of May, we’re making it free to adopt cats 10 years or older and dogs eight years or older.

Don't live near the Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah? No problem. These pets are eligible for a free flight home anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.

The following pets were voted top of their class. They’re all ready for new homes, where their summer jobs could be napping, cuddling, playing or taking their new human for a walk.

1. Best hair: Mocha Too

10. Teacher’s pet: Kennedy

Ricki is a little bit shy at first, but once you get to know her, you’ll agree that she is awesome at smooching.

12. Life of the party: Edward

12. Life of the party: Edward
You’re never too old to party. Edward was partying before most other Sanctuary dogs and cats were born, and he can still keep up with the younger kids with no problem.

Wilson makes the rest of us look bad. As the class overachiever, he aced his Canine Good Citizenship test. And that’s no easy feat!
