Companies helping to save dogs and cats in shelters
It’s an exciting time for animals. As more communities across the country embrace no-kill programs, millions of pets, who would have been at risk, are instead being saved. There’s still a long way to go, with more than 4,100 dogs and cats killed in America’s shelters every day — not because they’re ill or injured, but because they’re homeless. But if everyone pulls together, that number can be reduced to zero.
This month, we’re reaching out to animal lovers to pledge their commitment to ensuring that homeless pets are safe and loved, and that they get care and help finding a new home. Every pledge makes a difference, and our foundation and corporate partners are helping spread the word.
Pledge your love for animals now
These organizations stand shoulder to shoulder with Best Friends, lending their voices, reaching out to their audiences and helping to raise funds so that, together, we can change the fate of dogs and cats in America’s shelters.
We asked our partners why saving animals matters to them, and why they’ve joined the effort to Save Them All. Here’s what they had to say.
BOBS from Skechers
For decades, Best Friends has played a crucial role saving shelter animals across the U.S., reducing their deaths from 17 million every year to 1.5 million. We want to help them get that number to zero. During our partnership, we’ve seen the great work they’ve done — from guiding Los Angeles’ no-kill initiative to helping Hurricane Harvey’s displaced pets find their forever homes — and we’re excited that the BOBS from Skechers shoe donation program empowers our customers to support this incredible organization.
Instinct by Nature's Variety
Our company purpose intersects with Best Friends in the simplest, yet most profound way: kindness to animals. We couldn’t be more proud to be one of the many voices that will be a part of realizing a time when there is no more killing in our nation’s shelters. We’re committed to doing everything we can to make this bold and urgent goal a reality so that all pets can know a world where kindness and care are certainties.
ColourPop Cosmetics
We are very passionate about animals and do not condone animal testing or commission third parties to do so on our behalf. We pride ourselves on being cruelty free, 100-percent baby friendly, bunny approved and only test our products on humans. As a brand that was born, raised and made in the City of Angels, we are proud to be part of the movement to Save Them All.
sWheat Scoop
sWheat Scoop is excited to continue their partnership with Best Friends. We believe this partnership provides great opportunity to enhance both Best Friends and sWheat Scoop’s efforts in helping the cat community. Best Friends is working to end the killing of pets in shelters. We are eager to lend a hand to as many paws as possible by becoming the primary litter provider for sanctuaries and partners.
Bear Bottom Candle Co.
We believe in the power and positive energy of paying it forward and have worked hard to embed this philosophy in everything we do. Our treasured partnership with Best Friends has given reach to our love for animals. The work they do has set into motion a form of loving and giving that we know has placed countless animals in their forever homes. So proud of being a part of the mission to Save Them All!
Petplan
Because the heart of our mission has four legs and a tail, Petplan believes in giving a helping paw to animals in need. We call this Petplanthropy: our philanthropic commitment to putting pets first. That’s why we’ve partnered with Best Friends Animal Society to support their lifesaving efforts. With every policy purchased, Petplan will make a generous donation to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats.
