It's a "wrap" and a "welcome" in Salt Lake. Best Friends Animal Society-Utah is moving on up to a bigger facility, one big enough to accommodate not only offices but also an adoption center. With the new digs in the Sugar House neighborhood, now open at 2005 South 1100 East in Salt Lake City, we are also saying goodbye to our adoption center at Trolley Square.

The Trolley Square adoption center saw more than 500 animals' lives saved thanks to its presence. Cats like Goose and dogs like Pinocchio found their perfect families, benefitting from the extra exposure afforded by having an adoption venue located in a shopping mall environment.

Partnerships with area animals shelters and rescue groups

Fiji the cat at the Best Friends Sugar House Adoption CenterWe're confident that the new Best Friends Pet Adoption Center in the bustling heart of Sugar House will provide an even better opportunity to get pets-in-waiting out in front of the public's eyes and into their homes. We will be continuing our fantastic partnership with Salt Lake County Animal Services and cultivating even stronger relationships with our shelter and rescue partners to save more lives. We are thankful to the community's support at Trolley Square and hope all the volunteers and visitors will join us at Sugar House to help keep the momentum going.

The new facility is another factor in helping create no-kill shelters, which are parlayed into no-kill communities, contributing to our collective ultimate goal of a no-kill Utah.

Check out the center's website.
