Carragh Maloney is a second-generation co-founder of Best Friends, having begun her journey with the organization when she was just 14 years old.

She has always been sensitive to animals, particularly those suffering, and from a young age helped out at the Sanctuary alongside her parents, Faith Maloney and Gregory Castle, who were both co-founders of Best Friends.

After completing her high school credits, Carragh took on a full-time role as a dog caregiver and part-time vet tech, providing care for about 200 dogs at the Sanctuary.

When Best Friends launched its membership program in 1992, Carragh began working in donor relations, eventually managing a large team of staff who provide customer service to donors. She continues to help steward the membership and support its fast-¬paced growth.
