Take a free tour of Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Ready to experience the magic of the Sanctuary? Let us be your guide. Enjoy a free tour and fall in love with this lifesaving haven that’s a home-between-homes for hundreds of animals on any given day.

Please note: Tours are by reservation only. We cannot accommodate RV's or trailers over 21 feet on tours.

Closed-toe shoes are required. We also recommend that you bring water, bug spray, and a hat or sunscreen. Durations and distances are approximate.

Tour Descriptions

The Grand Sanctuary Driving Tour
Daily 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m.,  & 3:00 p.m. (duration: 1.5 hours)
The Grand Sanctuary Tour is a 90-minute tour with guests seated on our tour vans. We do make 2 animal area stops. You'll also see beautiful views of Angel Canyon and our most famous scenic landmarks like Angels Rest Memorial Park and Angels Landing. If you have pets, please call the Welcome Center 435-677-6486 to reserve to follow behind our tour van in your own vehicle. These tours are daily at 9:00, 10:00, 1:30, and 3:00.

Cat World Walking tour
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. (duration: 1.5 hours | distance: 1 mile)
Join us on a walking tour through Cat World and take in some of the cute furry faces while we show you how we are helping cats to heal and thrive.

Behind the Scenes in Dogtown Walking Tour
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 1:30 p.m. (duration: 1.5 hours | distance: 1 mile)
Join us for this in-depth tour and find out how Dogtown started. You must be 16 or older to take this tour.

Pig and Goat Walking Tour (long)
Daily tour at 10:30 a.m. (duration: 1 hour | distance: 1 mile)
Discover the affectionate personalities of potbellied pigs and the endearing goofiness of goats.

Monday, Wednesday at 9:00 am (duration: 30 minutes | distance: .5 mile)
Discover the affectionate personalities of potbellied pigs and the endearing goofiness of goats.

Angels Rest Walking Tour
Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. (duration: 30 minutes | distance: .25 miles)
Join us on a guided tour of Angels Rest, one of the most peaceful spots at the Sanctuary. Don’t know where to go? Stop by the Welcome Center for a map by 8:45 a.m.

Angels Overlook Memorial Park Tour (duration: 30 minutes | distance: .25 miles)
1st and 2nd Tuesdays of the month at 10:00 a.m. 
Join us on a guided tour of Angels Overlook Memorial Park. Please check in to the Welcome Center at the Sanctuary at least 20 minutes before your scheduled tour where we will give you a map to drive yourself to Angels Overlook. 

Horse Haven Walking Tour
Tuesday, Friday at 10:00 a.m. (duration: 30 minutes | distance: .5 mile)
Horse Haven is one of the most beautiful and majestic places at the Sanctuary. On this tour, you’ll meet some of our amazing horses and other barnyard pals.

Natural Horsemanship Demo at Horse Haven 
Tuesday & Friday at 10:30 a.m. (duration: 45 minutes)
Horse Haven uses "natural horsemanship" techniques to help our horses build healthy relationships and stronger, more positive partnerships with humans.

Wild Friends Walking Tour
Daily at 10:15 a.m. (duration: 45 minutes | distance: 1 mile)
Best Friends’ Wild Friends is a state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitation center. Join us and discover how we help orphaned and injured wild animals get back on their feet.

Parrot Garden Tour
Daily at 11:00 a.m. (duration: 45 minutes)
Join us at the Parrot Garden for a special tour and talk to some of the colorful birds. They may even talk back!

Bunny House Tour
Daily at 2:00 p.m. (duration: 30 minutes)
Visit with our cute, fuzzy bunnies and a few adorable guinea pigs. We'll share some stories about them, and you'll learn some basic bunny care.

Tours may be canceled due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control. Registering in advance enables us to contact you if a tour is canceled. Tours are not available on Christmas day. If you are looking for time with the animals, we encourage you to volunteer in an animal care area.
