Elysia Howard, director of corporate and foundation relations
With more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience, Elysia Howard has worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, with proven success in brand awareness, quality partnerships and diversified revenue.
On the nonprofit side, Elysia has spent more than 13 years in animal welfare. Before joining Best Friends, Elysia led the ASPCA’s cause-related marketing programs as vice president of marketing and licensing, and she was senior director of corporate marketing and program development for North Shore Animal League America.
Before transitioning to nonprofit, Elysia spent more than 10 years with some of the largest advertising agencies in New York, including Ogilvy & Mather and Young & Rubicam, where she helped build dynamic and innovative direct marketing platforms for top consumer brands.
Elysia shares her life and her home with a full menagerie of people and pets. She lives in New York with her husband, two children, two indoor cats, five community cats, two guinea pigs, a German shepherd and one very lazy cocker spaniel.
