CAMPAIGN ENDED; Stop the shortage! Ask your New Mexico state legislators to support SB 404 & HB 474.

Like elsewhere, New Mexico is experiencing a serious shortage of veterinarians. This shortage impacts pet owners' ability to access affordable and timely care for their pets.

New Mexico Senate Bill 404 and House Bill 474 would help mitigate this shortage by providing financial incentives to veterinarians and veterinary technicians who practice in the state, in the form of student loan repayment.

To qualify for this incentive, the veterinarian/technician must commit to a minimum two-year period of service working in a veterinary shortage area.
