Protect community cats in Parkersburg
Urge the Parkersburg City Council to vote NO on feeding ban!
TIME-SENSITIVE: The second (and final) reading will take place on August 12, 2025.
Feeding bans are ineffective and counterproductive to reducing unowned cat populations.
Unfortunately, a proposed ordinance is moving quickly to enact a feeding ban in the City of Parkersburg.
If the proposed feeding ban ordinance is passed, good Samaritans could be penalized for feeding community cats — deterring the very people best positioned to help manage the county's cat population.
Want to do more to help? Attend the next city council meeting on Tuesday 8/12 at 7:30 p.m. either in-person or on the YouTube livestream.
TAKE ACTION: Send a message to the Parkersburg City Council urging them to vote NO on feeding ban ordinance. Ask them to support humane and evidence-based cat management methods like trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) instead.
