Location: Remote - Please note this job cannot be performed in California, New York City, Washington State.
Hiring Range: This position’s hiring range is anticipated to be $61,000 to $65,000, depending on experience, plus great benefits!
Interviews will occur weekly until the position is filled.
Position Summary: Implement digital communications strategy, lead email marketing and digital publishing efforts, manage network website and engagement tools including email platforms, and track channel metrics in support of B2B communications efforts. In addition, this position will work cross-departmentally for email marketing, website updates, audience segmentation, and data tracking in support of Best Friends no-kill mission.

Develop an understanding of the Best Friends voice/style guides and how they apply to communications to network partners and animal welfare industry audiences.
Create highly segmented email communications and campaigns that maximize industry engagement, including recruitment efforts, Shelter Pet Data Alliance promotion, special event marketing, and content.
Collaborate with network team to manage complex audience lists and think strategically about partner behavior tracking to plan and execute interactive solutions to partner engagement.
Collaborate with the Digital Experience/CRM teams to maintain accurate audience data and improve audience tracking capabilities.
Lead network website UI/UX modifications in collaboration with the Digital Experience team, address technical issues, implement best practices, and manage content on network site.
Design and implement strategies using engagement metrics from digital platforms to deliver programs and resources to network partners and animal welfare industry audiences.
Coordinate with the other departments to maximize B2B messaging and channels within other marketing efforts.
Responsible for identifying and tracking key site and channel metrics while integrating findings into a customized digital experience for partner engagement.
Skills and Experience:
Requires bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) plus 3-5 years of experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Highly organized with proven attention to detail, excellent time management and critical thinking skills.
Independent work ethic with the ability to take initiative and identify solutions to challenges.
Experience with complex email marketing implementation, such as detailed segmentation, dynamic content and automation required.
Experience with Mailchimp and HubSpot strongly preferred.
Talented marketing copywriter, particularly for email blasts, capable of closely following brand style and voice guidelines.
Experience building new webpages and publishing content with Drupal website content management platforms required.
Experience working with an established design system in content management platforms and knowledge of website UI/UX best practices required.
Preference for experience in Drupal or similar systems.
History of tracking and analyzing marketing related data to deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
Demonstrated experience using remote work collaboration and communication tools like Office365, Asana, Airtable, Teams, etc.
Ability to work collaboratively both intra-departmentally and cross-divisionally.
Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Experience with animal shelters, animal rescues or municipal governments a plus.
Experience with data entry and/or CRM and moderate to advanced Excel skills a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Perform daily strenuous activity including, but not limited to lifting up to 40 pounds, carrying, reaching, stooping, squatting, cleaning, and bending.
Drive a car or work at a for extended periods of time with repetitive typing, arm, and hand motion.
Daily hours and days of the week may vary according to the needs of the department schedule; position includes weekends, nights and holiday work.
Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years, ability to qualify to be added to Best Friends insurance.
Travel to conferences and in person meetings, not to exceed 20%.
Ability to travel up to 20%, including overnight stays, when needed.
