Hi, I'm Avery! I'm a young, almost-2-year-old grey and white kitty with a soft coat and an even softer heart. I’ve got that perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back charm—basically, I’m in my prime and ready to be your new best friend! I love the simple things in life: a cozy spot to relax, a little playtime to keep things fun, and, of course, spending time with my favorite human (that could be you!). Whether I’m lounging nearby or popping over for some attention, I’m happiest just being part of your world. I’m still young enough to keep life interesting, but mature enough to know how to truly enjoy the quiet, cozy moments too. Think of me as your built-in companion for both fun and relaxation. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing kitty to share your days with, I think we might be the perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you. I’m currently hanging out at the Houston Hub located at 901 Pinemont Drive, Houston, TX 77018. Come by and meet me between 9am-6pm. Feel free to text/call 832-342-9411 to let us know you are heading to the center so we can confirm the pet is available. About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
