Hi I'm Ranger! Part gentleman, part adventurer, all heart I’m a 1½-year-old Belgian Malinois with a striking black-and-tan coat and a loyal spirit that’s just as strong as my good looks. I take my name seriously—I’m always ready to be by your side, keeping watch, keeping you company, and making sure you never feel alone. I’m a smart guy (okay, really smart), and I love having a purpose—whether that’s learning new things, sticking close to my people, or just being your most devoted companion. I’ve got that classic Malinois loyalty, which basically means once I pick you… you’re my person forever. But don’t let my “cool, composed” vibe fool you—I’ve got a soft side too. I love attention, I enjoy a good ear scratch, and I’m happiest when I’m near the people I care about most. What I’m looking for is someone who appreciates a devoted, clever dog and is ready to include me in everyday life. I’ll thrive with a person who enjoys a strong bond, a little teamwork, and a whole lot of love. I’m currently in a foster home while looking for my loving home. About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
