Hi, my name is Bruce! I’m a playful companion who loves to have fun and keep life interesting. Wand toys are my absolute favorite, and I’ll never say no to a tasty treat. I enjoy being pet and spending time with my people, but also appreciate having my own space when I need it. I’m still learning how to navigate a home and how to receive attention in my own way, so I’m looking for a patient and understanding family—learn with me as I discover what helps me grow. I would thrive in a home where I can roam freely, explore at my own pace, and build confidence every day. Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill.
