Hi, my name is Tabasco! I’m a sweet and loving 5-year-old kitty with a big heart and an even bigger love for cuddles. My favorite activities include long, cozy naps and soaking up all the pets from my favorite people. I’m extremely affectionate and always happy to be by your side, whether you’re relaxing on the couch or just going about your day. I’m fully litter box trained. I absolutely love treats (who doesn’t?), and all I really want in life is a warm, cozy place to lay down and someone to share my love with. If you’re looking for a gentle, cuddly companion, I might just be your perfect match! I’m currently hanging out at the Houston Hub located at 901 Pinemont Drive, Houston, TX 77018. Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.
