Hi, my name is Diesel. If you are looking for a lap cat, I’m the guy. My love language is quality time, and all I want is to be held, petted, and loved. I’m happiest curled up beside my humans, soaking up attention and giving lots of affection in return. Whether it’s cuddle time on the couch or quiet moments together, I just want to be close to you. With the right introduction, I will be a good friend to another cat, as long as there is enough love for everyone. One of my special talents is getting along with just about everybody. Cats? Friends. Dogs? Friends. Kids? Tiny humans with excellent petting potential. I’m the kind of guy who fits right into the family and acts like I’ve lived there forever by day two. I enjoy playtime and exploring, but I’m happiest hanging out nearby while you relax, work, or binge-watch your favorite shows. I’m basically a soft, purring emotional support cloud. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion with a heart as big as his whiskers, I might just be your perfect match. All I need now is a home — and maybe a sunny window with my name on it. I’m currently hanging out at the Houston Hub located at 901 Pinemont Drive, Houston, TX 77018. Come by and meet me between 9am-6pm. Feel free to text/call 832-342-9411 to let us know you are heading to the center so we can confirm the pet is available. About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
