Hi, I'm Lumi! They say my name means “snow,” and honestly, I think it suits me—I’m soft, a little mysterious, and I have a calm kind of beauty that you notice more the longer you look. With darker seal-point markings, I like to think I’m dressed up all the time, even when I’m just lounging. At three years old, I’ve grown out of the wild kitten chaos (don’t worry, I still have my playful moments), and settled into my true calling: being a gentle, loving companion. I adore quiet mornings, cozy evenings, and those peaceful in-between moments where I can curl up beside you and just be. I’m the kind of girl who will blink slowly at you from across the room, follow you softly from place to place, and then surprise you by hopping up for a cuddle when you least expect it. I don’t need to be the center of attention—I just want to be your little shadow. If you’re looking for a graceful, affectionate friend with a touch of elegance and a whole lot of heart… I might be your Lumi. I’m currently hanging out at the Houston Hub located at 901 Pinemont Drive, Houston, TX 77018. Come by and meet me between 9am-6pm. Feel free to text/call 832-342-9411 to let us know you are heading to the center so we can confirm the pet is available. About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
