Hi, I’m Fig! I’m a little brown tabby kitten with soft stripes, curious eyes, and a playful heart that’s always ready for fun. I love chasing toys, pouncing on imaginary creatures, and exploring every corner of the world around me. Being tiny is exciting because everything feels like an adventure! When I’m done with my important kitten business, I turn into a total cuddle bug. I love curling up in cozy spots, getting gentle pets, and purring happily beside my favorite people. I’m sweet, silly, and full of the kind of charm that makes it hard not to fall in love with me. I’m looking for a home where I can grow up surrounded by love, laughter, and lots of snuggles. If you want a playful little sidekick with adorable tabby stripes and a big personality, I think we’d make the perfect pair! I’m currently in a foster home while looking for my loving home. Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.
