Meet Jewels! Jewels is an independent spirit with a heart as strong as diamonds. She loves her personal space and thrives in a calm, quiet environment where she can feel safe and relaxed. Jewels would shine brightest in a home that offers peaceful surroundings and plenty of one-on-one attention. Jewels is an adult dog with a heart full of love and a spirit that’s as tough as diamonds! While she may enjoy her independence (she’s got that “I do my own thing” vibe), once she bonds with you, get ready for unwavering loyalty and making her an incredible companion. When she’s not basking in her own fabulousness, she’s the best companion you could ask for. Jewels isn’t just a dog; she’s a true friend who’ll always be there for you. If you’re looking for a partner who values her personal space but will shower you with love once you’ve earned it, Jewels is your gal! Adopt Jewels, and get ready for a loyal and totally awesome best friend. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who values her own rhythm and will shower you with love in return, Jewels is the perfect match! I’m currently hanging out with my friends while getting basic training at our offsite partner boarding facility. Submit an adoption survey to set up an appointment to meet me! About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
