Barbara Gibb is a 2 1/2-year-old female brown and white tabby with a soft, classic coat and a sweet, gentle soul. With her affectionate nature and curious personality, she’s the kind of cat who’s always happy to see you—and even happier to be loved. She is a little shy and cautious when entering a new environment, but once given some time to adjust, she settles in beautifully and shows her sweet, affectionate side. She is a gentle and affectionate cat who may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she loves being close to you. She enjoys gentle head pets, often leaning in for more, very sweet and loving. She is rather bashful, and if she is exploring a new area you have to pretend you don’t see her or she will get embarrassed and run away but then immediately come back and dive her head into your hand for pets while chirping.
Her foster says "Barbara has been sweet and quiet from the get go, but started off rather shy and skittish. She would poke her head out from her hiding spot to get head pats, but was too frightened to eat or come out. After a couple days of treats and quiet hang outs, Barbara started to explore slowly, and is now ( a little under a week) confident in coming to politely ask for pets, diving her head into your hand and quietly snoozing in many a tucked away corner of my bedroom. She is quite reserved still, but has once or twice played with a toy, and enjoyed playing with her reflection in the dishwasher metal surface. She presses her head into your hand for pets and sort of collapses into you while purring- even when unsure, all she wants is a little affection.".
She’s a great mix of playful and calm, and a perfect balance of charm and companionship.
She is spayed, vaccinated, and has had preventative treatments to ensure she is ready for her next steps.
