Shelters near you need help to save more lives. In 2021, nearly 9,094 dogs and cats were killed in animal shelters across Oklahoma, but together with your help, we’re changing that.

Best Friends supports shelters in Oklahoma

Best Friends helps save lives in Oklahoma by supporting adoption and cat programs, conducting shelter assessments, mentoring shelter staff and facilitating transport partnerships. We’ve also embedded staff in shelters in partnership with the City of Tulsa. We provide grants to improve access to veterinary care and we’re part of the Common Bonds Coalition working to achieve no-kill in the state by 2025.
