Help save homeless pets in OK

Shelters near you need help to save more lives. In 2022, 8,406 dogs and cats were killed in animal shelters across Oklahoma, but together with your help, we’re changing that.

Best Friends is working with animal welfare organizations and stakeholders statewide to save every pet who can be saved and reach no-kill through Oklahoma by 2025. Your local shelter is counting on your help. Now is the time to get involved and make a lifesaving difference.

Best Friends supports shelters in Oklahoma

Best Friends helps save lives in Oklahoma by supporting adoption and cat programs, conducting shelter assessments, mentoring shelter staff and facilitating transport partnerships. We’ve also embedded staff in shelters in partnership with the City of Tulsa. We provide grants to improve access to veterinary care and we’re part of the Common Bonds Coalition working to achieve no-kill in the state by 2025.
