Protect pets in puppy mills! Support the Puppy Protection Act of 2025

U.S. residents: Ask your members of Congress to advance HR 2253.

New federal legislation would improve the treatment of dogs in USDA-licensed breeding facilities nationwide. While we are still working to end puppy mills altogether, this bill is a step in the right direction, addressing inhumane conditions in the meantime.

The Puppy Protection Act of 2025, House Resolution 2253, creates stronger standards of care for pets in commercial breeding mills. This includes larger living spaces, consistent meals, frequent veterinary care, and exercise/socialization, among other quality-of-life improvements.
