Help save homeless pets in OR

Shelters near you need help to save more lives. In 2022, 519 dogs and cats were killed in animal shelters across Oregon, but together with your help, we’re changing that.

Best Friends is working with animal welfare organizations and stakeholders statewide to save every pet who can be saved and reach no-kill through Oregon by 2025. Your local shelter is counting on your help. Now is the time to get involved and make a lifesaving difference.

Best Friends teams up with CAT in Oregon

Best Friends is working with the Cat Adoption Team (CAT) in Oregon. CAT regularly takes in cats from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and our lifesaving centers. The group also welcomes at-risk cats from all over the country during natural disasters. CAT is a leading example of progressive cat lifesaving in the state.
