Best Friends goes big in Texas

Best Friends launched the Coalition to Save Houston’s Pets, which consists of more than 25 area animal welfare organizations working to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats by making Houston a no-kill city. Best Friends in Houston also operates a community cat program and transports animals to other areas of the country, as well as offering foster and adoption programs.

The Best Friends Network is made up of thousands of public and private shelters, rescue groups, spay/neuter organizations and other animal welfare groups located around the country. While only shelter network partners are represented on the dashboard, all network partners are working to save cats and dogs. They all need adopters, donors, volunteers and community advocates to increase lifesaving.
