Texas House Bill 3798 would prevent public housing authorities from creating pet policies that label certain breeds of dogs dangerous, thereby banning them from their communities.

Keeping pets in homes keeps them out of Texas shelters and frees up local taxes - but some public housing authorities ban certain breeds based on the outdated and disproven assumption that breed is what makes a dog dangerous.
