Help stop puppy mill sales in Aurora

Urge your representatives to protect pets and consumers.
The Aurora City Council is considering a lifesaving ordinance that would prohibit Aurora pet stores from selling commercially bred dogs and cats.
If enacted, this measure will help put an end to the suffering of countless animals in substandard breeding facilities and reduce killing in our shelters by shrinking the retail market for milled pets - while increasing adoption opportunities for homeless dogs and cats.
Illinoisans have made it clear that they do not support puppy and kitten mills. That's why more than 20 cities and counties throughout the state have already passed laws to ban the retail sale of pets from inhumane breeding facilities. Now Aurora is poised to do the same.
TAKE ACTION: You can help make this important proposal a reality! Urge your local officials to enact a humane pet sales ordinance now.
