Tierney Sain
National Mentorship Program Specialist
Prior to joining Best Friends in 2013, Tierney spent nearly a decade volunteering at animal shelters where she developed a passion for working with dogs with significant behavior challenges. While attending college in Colorado, she split her time between working at local dog day cares and volunteering with various shelters and rescues, learning the importance of assessing every animal as an individual in order to meet their needs. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Tierney moved to Kanab, Utah for an internship and eventual permanent role with Best Friends. Originally from Ohio, Tierney now calls Southeastern Utah her home and spends her free time hiking and exploring with her dogs and goats.
