The events you host to benefit Best Friends help provide so much for so many, from lifesaving medical care to nutritious meals and warm beds to love and companionship. We are incredibly grateful, and hope these FAQs help you get the most out of your event.
How can I fundraise for Best Friends?
One way in which you can raise funds easily for your event is to set up your own online personal fundraiser! You can start a personal fundraiser here. You can have the money raised in your name with your guests donating securely online.
If you plan on hosting an event in person as well, you can download our Sanctuary brochure to distribute to your guests. After which you can simply take the money earned for Best Friends, write a check and mail it to the Sanctuary directly, where we will ensure your hard-earned money gets allocated where needed within Best Friends.

When does my Personal Fundraiser Page activate?
Once you complete your online personal fundraiser and click on "Finish" you will go live immediately. Unfortunately there isn't an option to change the launch of your event to a future date in the system.
Can I request Best Friends staff at my event?
Generally, due to limited resources as a nonprofit, we are unfortunately not able to send Best Friends staff members to these outsourced events. We receive so many fundraising event participation requests on a regular basis which makes it difficult to fund the associated expenses incurred, of travel and time.
Is there an approved Best Friends logo I can use for my event? And, is there specific wording I must use?
We can send you a couple of logos you can use on all your event marketing materials and on your event website. Please note that you must use this "Event to Benefit" logo only and the wording on your website must clearly state: "An Event To Benefit" Best Friends. Thank you for your understanding on our logo protocol.

Can Best Friends provide collateral for my fundraising event?
We have made printable brochures for that use exactly. Please feel free to use the Sanctuary brochure or the membership brochure.
Can Best Friends advertise my fundraising event on Best Friends social media?
Unfortunately, we are unable to advertise your event on social media because we have an internal calendar of events and adoption promotions that have already been set in advance by our social media department. In addition, our donors are already contacted with a number of Best Friends emails and requests as is, therefore we cannot inundate them with the numerous requests we receive on a regular basis about other third party fundraisers, even though they are all so beneficial. It is actually a specific request by our members to not be contacted.
Can I request T-shirts for my event?
Unfortunately, we do not have extra inventory to donate for your event. However, our online store has Best Friends clothing items available for purchase. We have some really cool T-shirts - like any of these - to purchase yourself and wear for your event!
How can I screen The Champions at my event?
The Champions is such an inspirational story, everyone should certainly see it to understand the plight of these beautiful devoted creatures we call pit bull terrier type dogs. For your own personal viewing, you can download The Champions movie or buy the DVD. If you require technical support when downloading the movie, please visit Vimeo Support.
However, in order to show the film at a public event you would need to purchase a license. The price depends on the venue, amount of people, ticket price, etc. That info can be found at tugg.com/titles/the-champions. You should have no problem presenting this film in any environment, as long as you have the proper A/V equipment & license.
