Emmy-winning actress Julie Marie Berman, best known for her role on "General Hospital," has attended multiple Best Friends events, such as adoption weekend events, Strut Your Mutt, the No-Kill Los Angeles (NKLA) launch party, and the grand opening of the NKLA Pet Adoption Center. She also regularly promotes Best Friends via social media. However, it was after her trip to our Sanctuary in Utah that she and her husband, Michael, founded Better Buddies, an environmentally friendly dog bed company, which donates a portion of their profits to the Best Friends Guardian Angel program as part of their Project Paw.
"Many things in my life have led me to realize the huge place I have in my heart for animals," says Julie, "but Best Friends gave me a niche to take action on their behalf."
