Stop Senate Bill 1582 from disrupting progress against puppy mills.

This past August, with your help, Illinois became the fifth state to enact a humane pet sales law (HB 1711). These laws prohibit pet stores from selling puppies and kittens sourced from inhumane breeding mills.

It was a huge victory for Illinois pets and consumers. Now, the retail pet industry is trying to quietly pass a new bill to effectively repeal HB 1711 before it has even gone into effect. We need your help to make sure this doesn't happen!

SB 1582 would effectively repeal the humane pet sales law, allowing puppy and kitten mills to continue doing business in Illinois.
