Our mission is to lead the community in the humane treatment of animals. Our vision is to inspire compassion within the human spirit as the beacon of the animal welfare community through the relentless pursuit of humane treatment for all. Humane Indiana's adoption and intake centers provide shelter, food, medical care, and enrichment to about 2,300 animals every year while providing adoption, humane education, and pet lost and found services. Humane Indiana Wildlife serves 22 counties in Indiana while rescuing 1,700 injured or orphaned wildlife. Humane Indiana's humane education program reached over 5,000 children and the our clinic completed 2,941 spay/neuter surgeries and provided 5,226 vaccines to families in need throughout Northwest Indiana and Chicago's South suburbs.

Best Friends Animal Society  works alongside thousands of animal shelters, rescue groups, and other animal welfare organizations to save the lives of cats and dogs across the country and to make the entire country no-kill by 2025.

The Best Friends Network is comprised of thousands of animal welfare groups from every single state, all working to save the lives of pets in their own communities.

Ranging from animal shelters and rescue groups to spay/neuter and trap-neuter-vaccinate-return (TNVR) organizations, they collaborate with Best Friends to save even more lives in every corner of the country.

Best Friends provides marketing help, fundraising events, webinars, grants, and other resources so that, together, we can Save Them All.
