From Second Chance Dog Rescue
Founded in the fall of 2008, we are one of San Diego's largest and most successful non-profit 501c3 organizations dedicated to saving homeless dogs. Our founders recognized that it truly takes a village of municipal services, non profit organizations, and private volunteers to serve the homeless dog population. With a need to prevent needless euthanasia and homelessness that is both urgent and ongoing, our mission is to maintain high standards of excellence in efficiency and level of care for each and every dog. We are a cage free in home foster rescue group that is flexible and non-breed specific. We also rescue senior dogs, and those with health or medical issues, including life saving procedures. Our overall program activities address three core program goals to Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome dogs in need.
