Meet this delightfully derpy young man. Hudson is around 2 years old and already a professional goofball. With his sideways little nub tail and wonderfully unique look, he turns heads wherever he goes (and usually makes people laugh, too). This bouncy boy is equal parts adventure buddy and couch companion. He loves car rides and will happily hop into a golf cart for a cruise around the property like he owns the place. Hiking? He’s in. Exploring new trails? Absolutely. But after the fun is done, he’s just as content to sprawl out on the couch and relax. He’s a social butterfly with other dogs and enjoys playtime with his canine friends. His playful energy comes with a sweet, patient nature. He takes life in stride and approaches the world with a happy, easygoing heart. He may take time to warm up to a new person, but once he trusts you, you are his friend forever. One of his signature moves? The legendary “sploot.” When he’s feeling especially content, he stretches out in the sand with his back legs straight behind him like little frog legs - pure comedy gold. If you’re looking for a joyful, goofy, adventure-ready sidekick with a heart of gold and a sideways nub tail that never stops wagging, this interesting-looking fella just might be your guy.

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
