Loafie is a beautiful senior Border Collie with the sweetest soul and a heart full of love to give. This gentle girl adores being around people and will melt you with her soft, soulful eyes that seem to say, β€œI’m so happy I found you.” She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, walks nicely on leash, and appears to be housetrainedβ€”making her an easy and delightful companion. Loafie has a friendly, outgoing personality with a lovely medium energy level: happy to join you for a stroll, then settle in for some quiet time together. Loafie experienced some unknown trauma to her hind leg prior to arrival at the Sanctuary, and she is recovering beautifully from her repair surgery. She’s healing well, growing stronger every day, and using her leg more and moreβ€”showing her resilience and gentle determination. Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.
