Meet Pancake! Pancake is a little firecracker with an outsized zest for life, and honestly, she seems completely unaware that she’s small. She’s compact in size but big in personality, big in opinions, and even bigger in heart. Pancake is playful, energetic, and always ready to turn an ordinary moment into something fun. She loves interactive games, silly play sessions, and anything that gets her moving and engaged with her people. One of her signature talents is that she knows how to “wave” hello, especially when she’s excited to see you. It’s impossible not to smile when she greets you with her enthusiastic little hello. She’s also very affectionate in her own special way and will happily lean in and rub herself against you like she’s claiming you as part of her chosen family (which, once she decides, you absolutely are). Pancake has lived comfortably with canine roommates at the Sanctuary. She enjoys walks with her buddy Ron Swanson, cruising around in the car, and making the most of a good trip to the dog park. Once Pancake picks you, she’s all in. She's loyal, silly, and fully committed to being part of your life. She’s the kind of dog who makes everyday routines feel a little brighter and a lot more fun. If you’re ready to meet a bold, joyful girl who brings her whole heart into everything she does, Pancake might be your perfect match.

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
