Adopt Uma

Uma is a Husky mix with a calm presence, a big personality, and a strong appreciation for the finer things in life—sun puddles, deer antlers, and quality time with her people. She’s expressive and vocal in that classic Husky way and enjoys “talking” to dogs she hears but can’t see, just to keep everyone informed. She’s comfortable around other dogs and unbothered by play happening around her, but she’s not usually the one chasing balls or stirring things up. Uma is more of an observer—happy to hang nearby, enjoy the energy, and do her own thing. Uma is affectionate and people-oriented and will happily come over to lean her whole body against you when she wants attention (which is often). She has some anxiety that is well-managed with medication, structure, and routine, and she does best in a predictable environment where she knows what to expect. For the right home, Uma is an easy, steady companion—thoughtful, expressive, and deeply attached to her people. She’s the kind of dog who brings a calm presence to your day and will gladly soak up the sun right alongside you.
