Jaycee is the definition of low-maintenance charm. This sweet girl is happiest enjoying the simple things in life: a cozy place to relax, a nice walk with her favorite people, and a fluffy toy she can proudly “defluff.” She has a calm, easygoing personality that makes her a joy to spend time with, and once people meet her, they don’t forget her. Volunteers often come back just to visit Jaycee because she leaves such a lasting impression. One of Jaycee’s favorite spots is her dog house, lovingly nicknamed her “Barbie Princess House.” It’s her little kingdom, and she’s always happy to lounge there like the royalty she is. She’s also done wonderfully on sleepovers with volunteers, earning rave reviews for being such an easy, relaxed companion in a home environment. Jaycee enjoys getting out for walks and taking in the world at her own pace, but she’s just as content relaxing nearby and keeping you company. With her sweet nature, independent streak, and adorable quirks, she’s the perfect match for someone looking for a gentle, loving dog who doesn’t ask for much. If you’re looking for a laid-back best friend with a loyal heart and plenty of personality, Jaycee would love to meet you!

About Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends is working to end the killing of dogs and cats in U.S. shelters in part by getting more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.

We’ve come a long way since the first known city reached no-kill in 1994, and now we’re closer than ever to making the entire country no-kill. Of the roughly 3,900 shelters operating in America today, 1,300 of them are not yet no-kill, but nearly half are close with 100 or fewer additional pets to be saved, and we know what to do to get them there.

Best Friends is committed to working with passionate people like you to save homeless pets through adoption, volunteering, fostering, and advocacy. In addition to our lifesaving centers around the U.S, we also founded and run the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals.

Working together, we can save homeless pets in our communities and secure a better future for our best friends. Together, we will bring the whole country to no-kill.
