Best Friends Super Adoption Returns to Rose Bowl Stadium November 1-2

Best Friends Super Adoption is back and bigger than ever in Los Angeles November 1 and 2. Hosted by leading national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society, the two-day festival will bring hundreds of adorable, adoptable dogs and cats to the world-famous Rose Bowl Stadium.
This year’s event will feature 20+ animal shelters and rescue groups that will spend the weekend coming together to help find loving homes for pets in need. More than 600 dogs and cats from across Southern California will be on-site, and all adoption fees will be under $150.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy local food trucks, family-friendly activities, giveaways, exhibitor booths, and more.
“Best Friends Super Adoption has been going on for over a quarter of a century,” said Brittany Thorn, Executive Director, Best Friends Pet Adoption Center in Los Angeles. “This year, we’re excited to expand the event beyond adoptions by offering a little something for everyone. We encourage Angelenos to come see what the buzz is all about while engaging with their community and playing a role in helping Southern California achieve no-kill by getting pets out of shelters and into loving homes.”
Nationwide, 2 out of 3 shelters are now no-kill*. Adopting a homeless pet from a shelter or rescue group in Los Angeles saves the life of a loving and loyal dog or cat, while creating space for another pet in need.
“Super Adoptions help increase visibility for adoptable pets with a new audience. This year we’re thrilled to have four large shelter systems participating alongside our local animal rescue group partners - the City of Los Angeles Department of Animal Services, LA County Animal Care & Control, Riverside County Department of Animal Services and the City of San Bernardino Department of Animal Services,” said Thorn.
Best Friends Super Adoption in Los Angeles will take place on Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Rose Bowl Stadium (1001 Rose Bowl Dr, Pasadena, CA).
The two-day event is sponsored by Levoit, with additional support from Blue Buffalo, Fresh Step, Fi, Bar Dog Wine, $DOGS Token, Lucky One Vodka Lemonade, Olive & June, Spruce, and Whisker.

*No-kill is defined by a 90% save rate for animals entering a shelter and is a meaningful and common-sense benchmark for measuring lifesaving progress. Typically, the number of pets who are suffering from irreparable medical or behavioral issues that compromise their quality of life and prevent them from being rehomed is not more than 10% of all dogs and cats entering shelters. For any community to be no-kill, all stakeholders in that community must work together to achieve and sustain that common goal while prioritizing community safety and good quality of life for pets as guiding no-kill principles. This means cooperation among animal shelters, animal rescue groups, government agencies, community members and other stakeholders, all committed to best practices and protocols.
