Data barks, Chicago! Urge your city council member to support greater lifesaving at CACC

Mayor Brandon Johnson wants to permanently appoint the acting director of Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) of the past three years, Susan Cappello. Many Chicago rescue groups and CACC volunteers, however, want the city to conduct a more extensive search for the best candidate (someone with proven experience in animal welfare). 

While progress is being made with cats, the situation for dogs remains far out of line with previous CACC rates and current national trends alike. 

Let's give Chicago pets every chance we can! Tell your alderperson you care about this issue and ask them to consider the appointment more carefully.
